Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in a band with your mother? Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche have been touring together for a few years now. Their show is a fun filled evening of smart, thoughtful songs with plenty of harmonies. Hear their voices intertwine in gorgeous union on Fri., Sept. 22, 7:30pm.

Their recording Fairytale and Myth, the first collaboration between them, won the Vox Pop best singer/songwriter CD for the Independent Music Awards in 2014. Mud and Apples is their latest CD, released in 2016. The album is a mix of brand new original songs as well as cover songs by such icons as Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks.

Suzzy Roch is a singer/songwriter/performer/author and founding member of the singing group The Roches. She has recorded over fifteen albums, written music for TV and film, and toured extensively for 30 years across the U.S. and Europe. She has written two books; a novel Wayward Saints, and a children's book Want To Be in a Band?. In addition to recording numerous albums with The Roches, Suzzy has recorded two solo albums, and an unusual collection of musical prayers, Zero Church (with Maggie Roche), which was developed at the Institute on the Arts and Civic Dialogue at Harvard University.

Lucy Wainwright Roche has been compared to Joni Mitchell and Patti Griffin by NPR. She is the daughter of Suzzy Roche and Loudon Wainwright III, but has her own career as a touring songwriter and recording artist. Her latest solo collection is the critically acclaimed “There’s a Last Time for Everything.” In 2015, she collaborated with her sister Martha Wainwright on Songs in the Dark, a collection of lullabies. She is currently touring in the US and UK. Lucy is known for her crystal clear voice and straightforward humorous stage presence.
