Strings into Things

Girl Scout Holly Donovan invites you to join her in creating items of warmth and comfort for families and individuals in the Zumbrota area. As part of her Girl Scout Silver Award, Holly will be making hats, scarves, gloves, and other items. Join her and add your hands to the work at Crossings on these Fridays: January 5, February 9, March 9, and April 13, from 6:30-8pm. Adults, and anyone in grades 4 and up, are welcome to take part.

The Girl Scout Silver Award gives the scout the chance to be a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving her community. It is an honor for Crossings to participate in Strings into Things.

Yarn donations will be gratefully accepted. Bring your own equipment, or borrow Holly’s needles and hooks. Yarn can be provided.  People who want to be a part of this but do not know how to knit, crochet or weave can be taught. You can also work at home - see additional information on her website: https://stringsintothings.weebly.com/

Crossings’ sessions are free and open to the public. No sign-up necessary. Zumbrota-Mazeppa Community Education is also holding work sessions for Holly’s project. Sign up with community education for these sessions.
