Diá De Los Muertos: Decorating Sugar Skulls with Heather Freidli

Come join us to learn about Diá De Los Muertos, a traditional Mexican holiday, through decorating sugar skulls. This family-friendly activity will be on Thursday, October 19, 6-7:30pm.

Sugar skull art reflects the folk art style of big happy smiles, colorful icing and glittery adornments. Preformed sugar skulls will be ready for you to decorate. Make it a family or group activity!

Instructor Heather Friedli draws inspiration from her family’s Native, Mexican and American heritages. She received a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2005. In 2010 Heather Thru-Hiked the Appalachian Trail which upon completion inspired her to continue her work as an artist concentrating on painting the natural world. She currently resides in Cannon Falls, MN with her husband Ben and son Orion.
