Becky Liestman

Becky Liestman is a poet and fiction writer. A former resident of the Writer's Room in NYC, Becky was awarded 2nd place in the 13th Annual Poet Artist Collaboration at Crossings at Carnegie. Her poems are included in poetry journals like The Texas Poetry Calendar, Preoccupied with Austin, the Enigmatist, Blue Hole, and Talking Stick. She won 2nd place in the Austin Texas International Poetry Festival, and has been published in its anthology, di-verse-city many times. She is also published in Crosstimbers, a journal of the University of Sciences and Arts in Oklahoma. She has read at venues from the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, MN, the Dodge Poetry Festival in Newark NJ, to varied locales in Austin, TX, and local readings in MN.

This class is based in writing, although visual artists and other creatives will find it useful. Get your juices flowing with this fun, hands-on approach to your creative self. We will explore the meaning of creativity, and try building on our ideas in new ways.

Bring paper and pen or pencil. Be prepared to unlock new potential and expand your vision.
